Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup chickpea flour
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped tomato
- 1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum (bell pepper)
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- 2-3 tbsp water
- Oil for cooking
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt.
- Add water gradually and mix well to form a smooth batter. The batter should be of pouring consistency, neither too thick nor too thin.
- Add chopped onions, tomatoes, capsicum, green chili, and coriander leaves to the batter. Mix well.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add a little oil and spread it evenly on the pan.
- Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan and spread it evenly to form a thin circle.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown and crisp.
- Flip the omelette and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the other side.
- Remove the omelette from the pan and serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
