Matar Paneer Vegetable is one of the best Vegetables are liked by everyone. In our country this veg is included in North Indian cuisine, is considered as a favorite veg for most of the people. It is cooked in North Indian Homes at time of dinner or lunch. It can be made at home easily. Primarily this veg is eaten by chapatti, Non or rice.This is a magnificent veg which can be added to enhance the variety of food and we enjoy our food by adding it.
I am going to share the recipe of mater paneer with you all, howit is cooked at home easily in less time.
Ingredients of Matar Paneer –
250 gm chopped Paneer
2 medium size roughly chopped tomatos
Roughly chopped ginger
3 – 4 medium size roughly chopped onions
5 – 6 size chopped Garlic
3-4 tsp cooking oil
1 cup boiled green pea
1 tsp Kashmiri red mirch
Turmeric powder
3-4 Green chillies (slit a little)
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp coriander powder
Salt according to taste
1 Tbsp Coriander leaves (for garnish), chopped
2 Bay leaves (tej patta)
How to Make Matar Paneer
Take a pan on medium heat, pour the cooking oil 2-3 tsp, when oil gets heat add onion, mix it nicely, wait until it gets brown, after that add garlic, ginger and wait until these get a nad cooked. Add chopped tomato. Mixed all properly and covered pan with its lid for 6-7 minutes. After 6-7 min check if tomato is cooked, it becomes soft. Turn off the gas or switch the flame off. Take out this in a bowl. Let it get cold at least 5-10 minutes. After 10 minutes when it gets cold, put it in a grinder and make paste or puree of it.Again put pan on medium heat, pour oil into pan, and add bay leaf, cumin seeds, let it splutter, add red chili, add blended puree and mix it nicely. Add turmeric, coriander powder, and others spices. Cover and cook it for 3-4 minutes so as to spices cook with puree. Open lid, cook on high flame, and keep on stirring it until its color becomes red, it takes 6-7 minutes, once spices cooked properly and color becomes red add cheese and green pea, stir it properly and add a cup of water & mix well. Cover it with lid and cook on high flame for 6-7 minutes. Once it gets ready add coriander leafs & mix it properly. Now your vegetable is ready to serve.
Enjoy it with roti, poori, pratha, rice or Naan.
